There is an adventure waiting for you...

We are all being Drawn to the Wild; we simply cannot resist the tempting adventures that can be found on every peak and in every sea, on every trail and on every cliff, inside every cave and above every cloud.
We understand the desire to find the thrills from mild to extreme (or beyond) in every corner of the world and so we can bring you an outstanding collection of information, how-to guides, video clips, and useful links.
To help you get the most from Drawn to the Wild we have arranged outdoor activities and sports into 4 zones...
Check out our range of Active Zone sports and Activities. Maybe you already enjoy the outdoors but want to broaden your horizons, or maybe the outdoors is somewhere completely new and want some inspiration to help you decide where to explore.
Check out our range of Tough Zone sports and Activities. Maybe you are already the adventurous type looking for something new, or perhaps the outdoor life has been too tame until now and you want to up your game.
Check out our range of Extreme Zone sports and activities. Maybe you are seeking your next massive thrill or perhaps everything you have done so far has just felt too tame and you want to explore the extreme.
Check out our range of Ultimate Zone sports and activities. Most will never attempt some of these, but if you feel you can push the boundaries, and seek a truly world class epic experience then maybe you can be one of the precious few that attempt and accomplish the almost impossible. If it were easy it would not be in the Ultimate Zone.
Everything we do is wild but....
Safety First: Nothing is more important than safety although thrill seeking and adventurous activities can pose a level of risk we ensure that you know how to partake in a sport or activity safely and, if you want to move to a more extreme level, we explain how you can minimise the risks whilst still having a wonderful time. We always promote the correct equipment to use, and how to use it properly. All of our featured activities contain a Safety Briefing.
Practical Advice: We know how important it is to get the right information about your sport or activity so we ensure we always aim to provide high quality and in-depth information in an easy to understand format without the use of jargon (although our JARGON BUSTER tool can help you learn the various terms and phrases for your sport).
Professional Training: Nothing can compare to professional training delivered by qualified trainers who can carefully guide you through how to safely learn and practice the required techniques in a controlled environment. We know the importance of learning a sport properly so we provide important information and links (where appropriate) to help you find a professional and recognised training programme.
Medical Advice: Before taking part in a new sport or activity you should consult your doctor or other healthcare worker to identify any potential risks to your wellbeing. This is particularly important if you are pregnant, elderly, suffered previous injuries, suffering from a long term medical condition, or disabled. Whilst these conditions do not preclude you from taking part in most activities, getting advice can help you adapt to suit your individual needs.
